Before First Use
Inspect the leash to ensure all components are intact - especially the clip, leash tape, and carabiner clip-in handle. Check your dog's weight. This leash is intended for pets up to 25 lbs. WARNING: Exceeding the weight limit may result in product failure and potential injury to the user or animal. Familiarize yourself with the button functions. Lock Button: Push to lock the leash at the desired length. Retract Button: Release to allow retraction or press to reel in slack.
Basic Operation
1. Attaching to Your Pet
Clip the metal snap hook securely to your pet's collar or harness D-ring. Ensure the collar or harness is properly fitted and secure. CAUTION: The user is responsible for ensuring a proper collar/harness fit and condition.
2. Walking Your Pet
Hold the handle firmly in your dominant hand. Allow the leash to extend as your pet moves. The leash will automatically retract to eliminate slack. To maintain a fixed length, push the lock button. Release to allow free movement again. WARNING: Maintain control at all times. Product failure or user error may result in loss of control of the animal.
3. Clipping to an Object
Locate a sturdy post, pole, fence, or chair leg that cannot be tipped or moved easily. Press the carabiner clip-in handle to open the gate and attach it around the anchor point. Ensure the handle locks fully before stepping away. DISCLAIMER: User assumes full responsibility for selecting appropriate anchor points.
Precautions
Do Not Leave Your Pet Unattended
The ClipWalk™ leash is not a tethering solution for unsupervised restraint. Pets may chew the leash, slip out of collars, or become tangled, all of which pose significant safety risks. Always monitor your pet closely when using ClipWalk™ clipped to a fixed object. Be especially attentive if your pet is excitable and prone to lunging against their leash.
Pet leashes can pose a choking or safety risk if not used properly. It is vital that you supervise your pet or child when introducing a new product, especially during the initial stages of use.
Some pets may be sensitive or allergic to certain materials. If you notice any side effects, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian. It is the owner's responsibility to be aware of their pet's sensitivities.
Anchor with care
The force of a pet pulling or lunging can greatly exceed their body weight. Use only heavy, immovable objects (e.g., park benches, thick metal poles). Do not clip to unstable furniture, small fences, or lightweight structures. Do not use with aggressive pullers.
Maintenance & Storage
Wipe down the leash after walks in the rain, mud, or sand. Periodically check for frayed tape or signs of mechanical wear. Replace immediately if any damage is detected. Store indoors in a dry, cool place when not in use.
